Learn AI-Assisted Development from Real Experience

I'm Richard Osborne, CTO at Visual Hive and a corporate trainer with over 10 years of experience and a Master's degree in training programme design. I'll teach you how I actually use AI to build production software—no hype, just practical methods that work in real projects.

Barcelona, January 2026. Building this training platform using the methodology it teaches, right after attending ICE Gaming. That's me (Richard) actually vibe coding in the café, with Bogdan (Visual Hive founder) reflected in the window.

About the Training

This isn't a course about using ChatGPT to generate code snippets. It's about developing a structured approach to building complete applications with AI assistance—the kind of approach that comes from actually building production software, not from writing blog posts about it.

At Visual Hive, we build conference applications: customer-facing tools for attendees and exhibitors, internal data integration systems, and AI-powered analytics. Some projects are traditionally coded, some use low-code platforms, and increasingly, we use what I call "vibe coding"—a structured methodology for AI-assisted development.

I document what actually works. The successes and the failures. The places where AI saves enormous time, and the places where it still needs close supervision.

Experience: 10+ years in corporate training and programme design
Education: Master's degree in Training Programme Design
Current Role: CTO at Visual Hive, building conference technology
Projects: Conference apps, data integration, AI-powered tools, traditional and AI-assisted development

What You'll Learn

A practical curriculum based on real development work, not theoretical best practices.

Scoping and Validation

Learn to have productive conversations with AI before writing code. How to scope an MVP, identify what's actually essential, and validate ideas cheaply before committing to full development.

Documentation Architecture

AI has no memory between sessions. I'll show you the lightweight documentation structure that gives AI the context it needs without creating maintenance overhead.

Tool Selection and Configuration

When to use Claude Code versus Cline versus the web interface. How to configure tools for different types of work. What extended thinking actually does and when it matters.

Quality Assurance

AI generates plausible-looking code that doesn't always work correctly. Learn practical approaches to verification, testing, and maintaining quality as projects grow.

Real Project Patterns

Work through actual examples from Visual Hive projects: conference networking features, data integration pipelines, AI-powered analytics. See what worked, what didn't, and why.

Team Workflows

If you're working with others, learn how to establish standards, conduct code reviews, and maintain consistency when multiple people are using AI assistance.

My Approach

I'm not selling a miracle solution. AI-assisted development is powerful but requires structure, discipline, and honest assessment of what works and what doesn't.

You'll learn methods I actually use in production work. Some are documented in the open-source Vibe Coding guide. Others I've developed while building conference technology at Visual Hive. All are based on real experience, not speculation.
